More on the Cruise Ship Terminal

The Nanaimo Port Authority has created a video presentation to show how they wish the Cruise Ship Terminal to appear when it is completed.

Some sample information; The total length of the dock will be 396 meters and will thus be able to handle the largest cruise ships going.

There will be bus and taxi services

Welcome Centre

at the terminal as well as shuttle buses on cruise days. A 13,000 square foot Welcome Centre will also be built.

Next SECA meeting

Our regular monthly meeting will be Wednesday October 6 @ 7 PM at the Princess Royal Centre, corner of Farquhar and Irwin.

Coastland Industries will be attending, to:

1.       Provide an update on the performance and testing of the hog fuel burner currently

2.       Provide general information about the operation of the plant and help us understand what it is that we are hearing, smelling etc

3.       Review the new development application.

George Leu from the Ministry of Environment will also be there to report on the testing that has been carried out.
